Here are pictures of our dogs all together at different times and places.
...................................................................................................
Lacey our first lady... liver and white with lots of lovely flecking.

Whistle..her first born liver and white son, who has gone on to become a proud father many times over with Jypsy, Rosie and with other Young ladies too!

Jypsy, our black white little lady who is a special girl and has been a cracking mum.

Rosie, our exuberant young liver and white lady, who last year went on to become a lovely mum herself!

It has been wonderful to meet all our dogs sons and daughters! They have done us proud!!!

TORWIND WHISTLE was the very first springer pup we ever bred - Lacey's First born and has been with us ever since!

He is a handsome, hard hunting, solid dog with lovely face and markings and lives to retrieve!

He inherited his Field Trial Winner father's wonderful temperament and although, keeping a dog as well as his mum, was not our original intention, we couldn't let him go and we have never regretted our decision. He is one of the family !

We bred from his mum 'Lacey' who was from a Cornish local working gun dog line,(which goes back to many champions and winners in the field trialling lines also) and chose as his sire Field Trial Winner 'Catleylane Ghost of Badgercourt, 'who also has behind him all the Badgercourt lines and therefore the champions in every generation too.

As you will see from his pictures, he is a strong and solid dog with a lovely head and good strong liver markings. He would go anywhere and through anything to please his master!

Whistle ( who has sired one hundred and thirty eight pups so far ) is very loyal and a great character with a lovely temperament and it was a joy and interesting to see how his grown up sons and daughters turned out when we had a reunion for them when they were a year old and visits from some still as they grow!

LACEY ( Madam Sorrell of Torwind)
was our very first English Springer Spaniel and she is the reason, we do what we do now!
We were captivated by her fascinating and enthusiastic love of life, her wonderful ways and her keenness to learn. We wanted to learn more.
A whole new world was opened up to us now...

We researched her pedigree and picked our Field Trial Winner stud who came from a long line of Field trialling 'Badgercourt' lines and she had a lovely litter of 6 pups, with which we were delighted and although we lived in Cornwall, as well as being sold locally in Devon and Cornwall, as either pets or working dogs, they also went further afield to Somerset and Suffolk and we were delighted as to how they turned out, as owners kept in contact with photos, calls + even visits.

ROSIE ( Trentstone Fay of Torwind)- who we bought from Stafford - has won us over with her zest + infectious enthusiasm for anything +everything that comes her way! A real joy to be with!

She was sired by Field Trial Champion 'Moonreed Flush' ( British AV 2002 winner) and the dam was out of Field Trial Champion Kettlestang Clipper and so therefore obviously she has many good champion winning and working dogs behind her in her pedigree.

She was put to our handsome solid dog Whistle and gave birth to some their gorgeous chunky babies, who have now gone to thier new homes locally here in Suffolk as well as in Surrey, Kent, Hampshire and it has been lovely to get reports and visits from the pup owners as to how they all were getting on, in their first year of life and we are now able to announce that she is being kept busy since the birth of her most recent pups !

Jypsy- a proud Mum!

JYPSY is our little black white lady and here she is as a proud mum with her first litter of pups from our stud dog Torwind Whistle.

Jypsy ( Newflame Jypsy of Meriroyles) is a little cracker of a dog, showing such love and adoration, as well as pace and keeness and has been proven to be a fantastic and proud mum.

We bought her as an adult dog from Coventry, being won over by how she immediately came running into me close, the very first time, we went to meet her.

There was no going back from that moment! You can see from this picture, what a wonderful mum she is too and very proud of her young ones!!!

She is sired by a Field Trial Award Winner , who in turn was sired by Field Trial Champion ' Follybreeze Pip 'and obviously there are the working and field trialling lines on both sides of her pedigree, with more champions and winners along the way.

AS you will see from our pictures and accompanying info, this all began when we bought our first English Springer Spaniel pup-' Lacey'

Although we had spent many hours, days, weeks thinking about and choosing the breed and dog we wanted, we could never have imagined, how having Lacey would change our lives completely...when we then went on, to keep her son 'Whistle' who we now use for stud for us and is available for others and further still, bought a little black/white lady-'Jypsy' to join us and most recently, 'Rosie' too, our full of fun, enthusiastic and energetic young lady to join the gang! and think that for now(!!!) the family is complete but we then have kept one of the girls , from each litter ourselves this year, and so now, the family has increased -so watch this space!

The affix 'TORWIND' was chosen, as when we lived in Cornwall, one of our greatest joys, was to go with our dogs to the moors, as they ran up and climbed tors with their ears blowing back behind them in the wind! In 2004, we moved to Suffolk, where there are less tors(!) but the name still sticks as the pleasure of being out + about with our dogs, when they are enjoying themselves is just as good!

Although,we don't work our dogs we do basic dummy and whistle training etc with them and have shown that as they come from good working and trialling lines, along with their confident and happy attitude, that the right pup in the right circumstance, would be suitable for a working or pet home, as previous owners of our pups could confirm.

we hope to breed one or two litters a year, depending on what life happens to bring along the way and Whistle too is a proven and available for stud!

We welcome any questions, enquiries regarding absolutely anything as we, too have had to learn lots along the way- and there have been so many wonderful and kind people from the gun dog world, who have always been so willing to help and advise along the way,to whom we will always be thankful.
We also have many photos of our pups at different stages and more photos of our own dogs, if you would like to see them, along with their pedigrees.

Whether we meet up or make contact or not - Enjoy your dog! There's nothing quite like it! Happy days!
