The Cu-uladh kennels were started by Dick McCoy in Lisburn Northern Ireland in the early seventies. In 1978 I started as a Kennel hand with dick at the same time as being involved in a very large Irish Setter Kennels. My first dog was Jenny an Irish setter bitch and my fist trip to Crufts in 1978 saw me transporting two wolfhound dogs and an irish setter bitch.
My involvment with the Cu-Uladh kennels conyinued right up to 1994, but due to work commitments and extensive travelling meant i was not in a position to acquire my own dog, Maillie, until 2004.
I have recently embarked on my journey towards judging starting withan open show in the Republic of Ireland, judging groups 4, 6 & 10.
Dick McCoy is now recognised throughout the world as an accomplished judge in many breeds and he continues to have an input on my kennels advising on such matters as breeding options, development of the dogs andthe introduction of new assets.

In April 2008 he signed over a share in the Cu-Uladh Affix to myself and my wife Gill.
